My mom always says “when you enjoy reaping, don’t forget the most important part. Sowing”. Really what it means is not that we can’t enjoy what we’ve accomplished. But a lot of times when we’re already at the top (or you think ure at the top), we tend to enjoy reaping so much and do nothing else and “stand” still. We forget that the most important part is the process to get there, the preparation to get the best results, the pre-production and not just the production or the post production, the building of the foundation of the house. After all what is home without a good foundation? A wise man once said “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail” and a success is merely an intersection point between an opportunity and readiness. Being ready is what you get from preparation. Lots of people wonder and sometimes even mock and laugh at those people who spend their time preparing, training. They think “what the hell are you doing with your life, JUST training? JUST preparing?” ( — and they’re still wondering why they achieve soooo little of what they want in life) Busy mocking the idea when they can actually spend their time preparing and start planning their own life. I am forever GRATEFUL for my Mom for teaching me exactly THIS. Even when I’m at a place where I could’ve easily enjoyed myself doing nothing and enjoyed all what I have accomplished, they never STOP reminding me what needs to be my focus. Always focus on the process, preparing yourself and getting ready. And look where it got me. 😘😘😘 I love you Mom.

Work out consistently (“I work out five days a week and make time for it.”)
Focus on weight training, and combine with cardio afterward (Example: 1.5 hours of weight training followed by 30 minutes of jogging.)
Eat small portions every 3 to 4 hours
Focus on vegetables and healthy proteins such as grilled salmon 
Incorporate good carbs such as brown rice
Go easy on sauces and seasonings, especially salt
Keep your experience personal (“What works for me might not work for you, and that goes for me, too — what works for you might not work for me.”)
